RAAM's Shadow pack will be the third installment of the downloadable content, for Gears Of War 3. This pack will for gamers interested in multiplayer mode, as well as single player mode. The NBA owners and players come to an agreement, to end the 149 day lockout. The agreement came early on Saturday morning, after a 15 hour meeting. Although this is a tentative agreement, the agreement is mostly likely going to be ratified.
The Season is going to begin on Christmas day, December 25th. There is going to be a triple header. The three possible games include: Miami Heat vs. Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics, and the LA Lakers vs. Chicago Bulls.
Training Camp and free agency is set to start somewhere around December 9th.
The NBA season will be shortened to 66 games.
Their is still uncertainty on whether there will be an allstar game.

Assassins Creed: Revelations has only been out for a week, and already there is download content. Though its not a big download pack, the Ancestors Character pack gives you more character options.
The Ancestors Character pack offers 4 new characters, you can use in multiplayer. The 4 characters you get are: Gladiator, The Brigand, The Privateer, and The Cosair. Each of these characters will be equipped with unique taunts, weapons, and moves. The Ancestors Character pack will be available on December 13 for 320 Microsoft Points ($3.99).
It's been over two months since the release of Dead Island, and finally the first installment of downloadable content is here. Today, November 22nd, Bloodbath Arena Pack was released.
Bloodbath includes 4 all new arenas, that offer new challeges. You can enjoy these arenas alone, or with a partner. Any experience, or items gained in this pack can be transfered to campaign mode. Your skills will also be recorded on an all new leaderboard, for your friends to see. You can compare scores, to see who the best zombie crusher is. A new weapon, called the brain wave bomb rounds out the Bloodbath Arena Pack. This pack is free for people who preordered the special edition of Dead Island, and is 800 Microsoft points for everyone else.
The Versus map pack will be the second installment of Downloadable content for Gears Of War 3. This pack will include 5 maps: Azura, Blood Drive, Rustlung, Clock Tower, & Bullet Marsh. Azura, Blood Drive, and Rustlung were previously released in the first map pack available for Gears Of War 3. Bullet Marsh and Clock tower are brand new maps for the gears series. Bullet Marsh is a remake of a map from Gears Of War. The Versus Booster map pack will be available on November 24, 2011, and will be free to download.

Epic Games has already announced three new map packs for Gears Of War 3. The first installment of downloadable content is the Horde Command Pack, which was released November 1, 2011. The Horde pack sells for 800 Microsoft Points ($10), and is a must for any gear head. So what does the 800 Microsoft Points get you? This pack gives you 3 new maps for Horde mode, 2 new weapon skins, 3 new playable characters, achievements worth 250 points toward your gamerscore, and lastly, 4 fortification upgrades. If you can wait until November 24th, you will save yourself 800 Microsoft Points. The second map pack to be released, will have the 3 maps from the first map pack. This pack will be available to download for free, but it wont have the fortification upgrades, the new character, weapons, or achievements.

Gears Of War 3 is a third-person action shooter, released exclusicely on Xbox 360. Developed by Epic Games, Gear Of War 3 was originally set to be released April of 2011. After a five month delay, Gears Of War 3 was release on September 20. Gears 3 takes place two years after Gears 2, so it is not a direct sequel . This is good for people who have yet to play Gears 2. Gears Of War 3 is the third installment of the series, and will be the final game using the current storyline.
The gameplay in Gears Of War 3 is what you would expect in a Gears game. It revolves around taking cover, and blasting your enemy before they do the same to you. You annialate your enemy, with weapons such as the sawed-off shotgun, the retro lancer, and the vulcan cannon. Not much more can be said about the gameplay. Expect a fast paced style game, with lots of action. Team work and strategy also plays a big role. It makes it easier to maneuver through the game.
The story of Gears Of War 3 takes place on a fictional planet, known as Sera. The war takes place between the humans, and ugly creatures called Locust. The human race is on the verge of being wiped out. Soldiers or "Gears" as they are called in this game, look to prevent the extinction of the human race. The main character, Marcus Fenix, leads his squad on a mission to set the Lightmass bomb in position. This is done to kill off the enemy, and end the war. As you move through the game, you learn more about Marcus Fenix past, and the men who have fought beside him.
Multiplayer is the reason many people continue to play the Gears Of War series. Multiplayer is back, and is better than ever. Lag issues, found in previous Gears games ruined the flow and enjoyment of the game. So far it seems the lag issues have been fixed. Many of the modes players loved in Gears 1 and 2, are back. A new mode, Team Deathmatch has also made its way into the series. In total, there are six multiplayer game modes, which include: Warzone, King of the hill, Execution, Wingman, Capture the leader, and Team Deathmatch.
Warzone: In this mode each player has only one life, and no respawns. The goal of this mode is to kill the enemy team, before they kill your team. The first team to succesfully win 3 rounds, wins.
King Of The Kill: This mode is just an upgraded version of Annex, from previous Gears Of War games. The object of this mode is to defend a certain area on the chosen map. The team who does, wins a point. Once that round is over, another objective will spawn.
Execution: This mode is almost identical to Warzone. The goal of this mode is to kill the opposing team before time runs out. The only difference in this mode is, when a player is downed, they will revive at the end of the bleed out time.
Wingman: In this mode, players receive points two ways. Points are awarded to teams who kill their opponents. Points are also awarded for surviving a round. Four teams of two team up with each other, as the same character. The first team to reach 15 points wins.
Capture The Leader: The concept of the mode is the same as capture the flag. Your objective is to capture the opposing teams leader, instead of a flag. You do this while defending your own leader. The first team to hold the opposing teams leader hostage for 30 seconds, wins the round.
Team Deathmatch: This mode is new to Gears Of War 3. This mode is similar to Warzone, except you get 20 respawns. The team who destroys the other team, and kills the remaining players, wins.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is a historic action adventure game set to be released on three platforms. In just one day, on November 15, 2011, it will be released on Xbox 360 and PS3. The PC version of the game has been delayed two weeks, and will be released on November 29. It is recommended that you have played the preamble to this game, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The fourth installment of the Assassin's Creed series is a direct sequel to Brotherhood. Three characters from previous Assassin's Creed games are making a return in Revelations: Ezio, Altair, & Desmond. It has been announced that this will be the last game in the series to feature Ezio and Altair, as main characters.
The gameplay will be the same as Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It will feature Ezio running around, and battling in an open world style gameplay. This game will include all new combat skills, weapons, and a faster way of getting around. Revelations will feature a tons of missions, which you must complete in order to advance further in the game. It is also known that you will be able to play Revelations in full 3D.
Revelations will pick up where Brotherhood left off. At the end of Brotherhood, Desmond was forced to stab his partner, Lucy Stillman. Desmond then lost consciousness, and fell into a coma. Desmond has been returned to the Animus, where he hopes to gain consciousness again. Still in a comatose state, he finds a passage known as the Black Room.To get out of his coma, Desmond must find the key that joins him to Ezio and Altair. Once he does, he will regain consciousness. Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be the final game in the series to have Ezio and Altair as main characters.
Like I said above, their is a new piece of equipment that will allow Ezio to get around faster. The new weapon, the "Hookblade" will allow Ezio to zip line through the city with ease. The hookblade can also be used to grab unsuspecting enemies. Also making its debut to the series, are bombs. 300 types of bombs will be at Ezio's disposal.
Multiplayer is making its return, and is better than ever. It will feature a new layout, that includes new maps, modes, and characters. Players will have more control over their characters appearance and weapons, in Revelations.
Multiplayer will feature some old modes from Brotherhood, but also new modes. A few new modes, Deathmatch and Artifact Assault are two new additions to multiplayer. Deathmatch mode will allow 4 to 8 players to compete against each other, in a free for all. Unlike previous Assassin's Creed games, their will be no compass to guide the player. The player will instead rely on a box, located in the upper right had corner of the screen. This box shows your opponents, depicted by a blue dot. Artifact Assault, the other new mode, is similar to capture the flag. This mode the players will be divided into teams. The team who collects the required amount of artifact first, wins. If time runs out, the team with the most artifacts wins.
The future of the Assassin's Creed series looks bright. It has been announced by Ubisoft, that their is already a sequel to Revelations in the works. Though little is known about the sequel, we do know two characters will have different roles. Characters Ezio and Altair will be making their last appearance as main characters in Revelations. The error will also be changed in the sequel. Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be the last in the series to be set in the Renaissance error. More about the sequel will be announced in the upcoming months.

If you read my previous post regarding COD: Modern Warfare 3 located here, you know that this game was released November 8, 2011. MW3 did something no other video game had ever done. Not only were 6.4 million units sold within a 24 hour period of its launch, but an astounding 400 million dollars in sales were generated. The Call of Duty series essentially broke their own record. Around the same time last year, COD: Black OPS generated roughly 360 million dollars in sales. Seeing such huge numbers from this series should be no surprise, to people who have followed it over the years. The last three games in the Call Of Duty series each broke the 300 million dollar plateau, their first 24 hours of being released. Though no details are known, Activision has already announced that a new Call Of Duty game is in the works for 2012. We'll have to wait and see if the most successful video game series can once again break its sales record.
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare is back, and it did not disappoint. Released November 8, 2011, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is an action first-person shooter. It is a direct sequel Modern Warfare 2, and is the third installment of the Modern Warfare series. MW3 picks up where MW2 left off, where the Russian Federation continues its invasion on the USA. This invasion has spread to European countries, such as England, France, and Germany. Multiplayer and two-player co-op are back, and much deeper than it was in previous Modern Warfare games. MW3 also brings all new kill streak categories, customizable strike packages, and full social network integration.
Multiplayer is a major part of the Modern Warfare series, and is a major reason why gamers continue to play. The heart of multiplayer is still here, and then some. All the modes you are familiar with have also returned. A few changes include all new killstreak categories, ranking, and unlocks system.
Like I said above, the entire killstreak system has been changed up. Don't worry, it has changed, but for the good. This system is no longer called killstreaks; they are now called pointstreaks. Unlike previous Modern Warfare games, kills are no longer the only way to increase the players point streak. Pointstreaks can also be increased by completing the many objectives this game has to offer. Pointstreak rewards are grouped together in three separate categories: support, assault, and specialist. If you are familiar with past COD games, then you will be familiar with how the assault package works. Specialist is worth mentioning, as it is completely new to the Modern Warfare series. After killing two enemies consecutively, the player is rewarded with the perk of their choosing. After eight kills, the player receives every perk in the game. This stat is reset once the player is killed.
Kill confirmed and team defender are two new game modes worth mentioning as well. Kill confirmed requires the player to kill enemies, and collect their dog tag. You have to be quick though. If the opposing team can snatch the dog tag before you do, you are denied the kill. You can of course do the same thing if one of your teammates is killed. Another new mode is team defender. This mode involves collecting flags from the first person who is killed. The team who captures the flag gains twice as many points as the opposing team. The team who fails to get the flag gets the default amount per kill.
If you have played any of the Call Of Duty games over the years, then you know the kind of action campaign mode brings. The start of campaign mode is set in Manhattan, where you are invaded by the Russian Federation. This mode has great graphics, visuals, and sound. With that being said, this mode was a bit of a let down for me. The objectives are easy and basic, and this mode has no length. Anyone familiar with the COD series could easily finish this mode in a few days. None the less, the game is a blast to play. In my opinion, multiplayer is where this game shines.

As you all know, Skyrim is making its debut tomorrow November 11, 2011. This is the fifth installment of the in the Elder Scroll series. The next chapter in the Elder Scrolls series is a highly anticipated action RPG, set to come out on three platforms. Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC are the platforms it is to be released on. In 2008 Oblivion made a huge splash in the Elder Scrolls series, becoming game of the year. Skyrim has allot to live up to, and sure to live up to all the hype.
The plot of Skyrim is set 200 years after Oblivion, the preamble to Skyrim. This means Skyrim is not a direct sequel to Oblivion. Skyrim is going to start off like past games in the Elder Scrolls series. The player starts off as an unknown prisoner. The player is imprisoned because of his involvement with the Stormcloaks. The Stormcloaks are a subgroup of the rebels, who believe that Skyrim should no longer be part of the faltering empire.
The gameplay is much the same as past games as well. Skyrim has a traditional nonlinear gameplay, that players have enjoyed throughout the Elder Scrolls series. Nonlinear gameplay allows the player to complete tasks in a number of of different orders. The player can explore the game by foot and/or by horseback. The player completes quests in order to get further in the game. The quests given depend on how the player maneuvers through the game.
Character development also plays a big part in Skyrim. At the start of the game, the player must choose between three different races. These races include: human, elven, and anthropomorphic. Each race has its own unique appearance, abilities, and style. Each race also has 18 different skills. A class system used in previous Elder Scrolls games is no longer used. This system was used to determine which skills would contribute to the players characters leveling. In Skyrim the player has more freedom when it comes to skills. This time around, the player chooses the skill specific ability.
